Three small steps.

    Choose your Mac.

    Open the Apple menu → About This Mac. An Apple M-series chip uses Apple silicon; an Intel processor uses Intel.

  2. 02

    Make yourself at home.

    Open the downloaded DMG, drag Hall-e into Applications, eject the disk image, and open Hall-e.

  3. 03

    Say hello.

    Choose your language, allow microphone and speech recognition access, and try the optional eight-second audio check.

About the first launch

This release is not Apple-notarized. After verifying that your download came from the official Hall-e release, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway, if offered. Managed Macs may need IT approval.

macOS 14+; capturing meeting-app audio needs 14.2+. Local transcription depends on a supported language model. Cloud providers are optional and require your own account and permission.
